The first “Spring Fling” Disc Golf Tournament was held in the Spring of 2007 at Shade’s Mill Conservation Park. The "Spring Fling" Disc Golf Tournament is a charity event, with all of the proceeds going towards local charities. The charity that this tournament currently supports is the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington.
The tournament is composed of teams of two that partner up in “Best Disc” format. They play 18 holes in an attempt to generate the lowest score. In "Best Disc" format, the better of the two shots is used, and from there, both players shoot from that position.
This tournament is a great opportunity for players new to the game to try this fun, quickly-emerging sport. The atmosphere is relaxing, recreational and enjoyable. What better way to spend a weekend in May than to get some exercise, laugh with friends, enjoy some fresh air and support a local charity?
We hope to see you there.
