  • In the event the games are cancelled tonight, the current standings will be the final standings.  The top team and top spirited team will receive a prize tonight at Bobby O’Briens starting at 8:15pm.

Soccer Fields Are Closed

The City of Guelph has closed all grass fields for tonight (Thursday, August 10th)  https://guelph.ca/seasonal/sports-field-status/

All Thursday soccer games are cancelled this evening.

Fields are closed, all games will be moved to the University of Guelph Fieldhouse (we will play 5 vs 5 as the fields are smaller).
 
5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th will play starting at 6pm
 
1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th will play starting at 7:30pm
 
A decision will be made at 2pm. Please check the city status
 

Game Status

All games are on for tonight.  If the fields become saturated (sloppy) please end your games

Please check the City of Guelph field updates. 

LIGHTNING POLICY: If thunder is heard within 30 seconds of seeing lightning, games will be postponed. All participants must leave the playing area and seek shelter in a building or an automobile. Never stand under trees, in an open field or under an umbrella. Games will resume 15 minutes after the thunder and lightning have moved away. If thunder and lightning are still present 15 minutes after, the game will be cancelled and the score counts as it was when the game was stopped. Halfway point of the game must be reached (20 minutes) in order for the game to count towards the league standings.

Guelph Soccer League burst out of the gate in the fall of 2006, with 30 teams playing in our 6 v 6 recreational soccer division. Now more than 75 soccer teams call Guelph Soccer home, playing in our 6 v 6 outdoor soccer league and our 5 vs 5 indoor soccer league all year round.

Perpetual Motion Sports focuses on recreational level soccer, with an emphasis on good fun, good exercise, and a great atmosphere. All leagues are co-ed and self-refereed.
