WANT TO COACH ULTIMATE FRISBEE IN INDIA?
Ahmedabad Ultimate (AU) is a local initiative by Indicorps aimed at transforming communities through sport using Ultimate Frisbee's philosophy of "spirit of the game". AU is looking for experienced coaches with a solid Ultimate Frisbee background and a desire to enable change. Primarily, volunteers are needed to assist in the implementation of an intense summer training camp for youth in Ahmedabad, India taking place during the month of May, 2010. We also welcome any longer term assistance, donations and other support.
Ways to get involved:
Short-Term (1 week min): Be a coach at the summer camp.
Long-Term (1 month min): At any time of the year, help at practices, tournaments and other project related tasks.
The staff and volunteers at AU will help organize your stay and will also guide your transition into Indian life (i.e. cultural do's and don'ts, getting around the city, where to eat, etc.). AU is also well connected to other NGOs creating opportunity for you to see other projects at work and open further volunteering channels.
Volunteering with Ahmedabad Ultimate allows you to be more than just a tourist; you become part of a community and take part in meaningful, life-changing work.
Want to do more than just shopping and sight-seeing?!? Click hereJust a reminder there is Social and free food at the Stampede Ranch, The Albion Hotel and Frank & Steins after the game. Hope to see you there...

Click here to see if the fields are Closed
Games are played rain or shine (but no lightning or if the city closes the fields), cancelled games are not rescheduled. Always show to the game even if it's raining as the weather can change very quickly. At the start of the game the captains are to make the decision if the games are to be cancelled. If lightning cancels any game the rest of the games are canceled for the night.
LIGHTNING POLICY: If thunder is heard within 30 seconds of seeing lightning, games will be postponed. All participants must leave the playing area and seek shelter in a building or an automobile. Never stand under trees, in an open field or under an umbrella. Games will resume 15 minutes after the thunder and lightning have moved away. If thunder and lightning are still present 15 minutes after, the game will be cancelled and the score counts as it was when the game was stopped. Halftime must be reached (8 points by one team in the A Division or 22 minutes in the B and C Division) in order for the game to count towards the league standings.
Looking forward to another fun season.

Guelph Touring Teams
Toaster
Guelph Ultimate will be putting together a co-ed touring team call "Toaster" this summer to play in about 5 tournaments (1 per month). We are looking at accumulating about 20 players that would be interested in playing in these tournaments but only taking about 14 players to a tournament, based on availability of players. The team will host a couple of practices right before a tournament to work on offences and defenses. If you are interested in playing please contact Dave Kelly at info@perpetualmotion.org. For more info check out the Touring Team webpage.
